How does SBAN work?
SBAN enables entrepreneurs to present their business ideas and projects and to search for potential investors by using the web portal that serves as a matchmaking platform. The investors, the business angles who are the members of the Network, have an insight into all the projects and they are given the possibility to browse the project database according to the area of their interest or capital that is to be invested.
Business Angels Networks also allow the investors a potential joint investment, where a few investors, members of the network, invest in the same project. Through the joint investment, the potential risk of unsuccessful investment is reduced. At the same time, if a certain project needs an investment larger than one is capable to provide or if the sum is far too large for separate investors, the realization of financially demanding projects is enabled by the investment from a few different investors.
Easily searchable SBAN database with business ideas
The registered SBAN members have the possibility to access an investment project database. The database consists of chosen business plans which are added by selected entrepreneurs.
After identifying an appealing project, an investor shows their interest for making a contact with a potential entrepreneur through SBAN Network. In the final phase, the contact between the investor and entrepreneur is made through the SBAN Network.
Additional services
The experts from SBAN assess the received projects and those evaluated as appealing ones will be publicized on the website. Also, the investor credibility check will be conducted, and the access to the projects in the database will be allowed only after obtaining membership permission.
The project assessment and website publication of the results will be followed by lectures and conferences organized by SBAN both for entrepreneurs and investors.
The entrepreneurs will be attending trainings, conferences, workshops and lectures organized to improve participants’ knowledge on designing business plans, project documentation, marketing and finance. Furthermore, communication and negotiation skills of the participants will be advanced in order to prepare the entrepreneurs for the business meetings and negotiations with investors.
The SBAN investors will be granted an opportunity to participate in the conferences and to be provided with information on new investment methods, examples of similar investments from the region, the EU and the USA. The SBAN expert team both consist of local and international experts who are successful leaders of the similar organizations in their own countries, and investors who have already been known as eminent business angels.
SBAN also organizes investment conferences where the trained entrepreneurs, whose project ideas were assessed as the most successful ones, will be given a chance to deliver the presentation of their business plan in front of a crowded auditorium of investors who are interested in investing their capital into the similar projects.
Apart from local investors, SBAN cooperates with regional Business Angels Networks, as well as with Business Angels Networks from the EU, the UK, the USA, giving the possibility to local entrepreneurs to find foreign investors interested in financing appealing project ideas. Also SBAN, in case of insufficient number of interesting business ideas in the country, supports local investors to find a suitable business idea which will be realized abroad by their own investment.
