Summarizing impressions from third regional Investment evening!
On 7th of June, Serbian Business Angels Network, in cooperation with SPEA (Serbian Private Equity Association) organized the third Investment evening and network cocktail. More than 70 participants, members of SPEA, SBAN and partnering organizations attended event.
The program started with opening speech by Mr. Loup Brefort, The World Bank Country Manager in Serbia. Also, guests were welcomed by welcoming note of host representatives David Schoch (President of SPEA) and Aleksandar Čabrilo (President of SBAN). They used the opportunity to present new activities news from both organizations with emphasis on SBAN membership at Board of European Business Angels Network (EBAN) and SPEAs research paper on status of Private Equity in Serbia presented by Nikola Makojević.
After keynote speeches, members of both organizations had an opportunity to attend the presentations/investor pitches of three startups from IT and ICT industry. Among presented projects was “Interaktivni Bukvar”, who got the possibility for participation on Investment Evening and presentation in front of investors after winning on Start-up live competition held in April in Belgrade. The first feedback of investors on selected projects was positive.
Following cocktail fulfilled pleasant evening, where our members and partners had an opportunity to network with other members. This event was just one of various events that Serbian Business Angels Network is planning to organize in the near future, in order to improve the entrepreneurial scene of Serbia.
